Weekend Scrapbooking Retreat

I am lucky enough to be able to spend a weekend twice a year at a scrapbooking retreat with my mom and some good friends.  I felt productive this year as I was able to almost finish my daughter's 2008 photos (I did come home and do the last 2 pages a few nights later!).  Here are the pages I was able to get done:

I used Gypsy Font for the title and creative memory circle punches for the circle.  The papers are from the DCWV Christmas Stack

The title is from the Mickey Mouse Font and the papers are from the DCWV Green Stack (LOVE this stack).

I used Prima flowers in the corners with skittle centers.  The birds are cut from paper in the Green Stack.  The little girl die cut is A Child's Year.

Paper here is again from the Green Stack.  Title is cut using the Sesame Street font.  Hand is cut using A Child's Year.

Title is welded together using the Gypsy using the Mickey Font.  Beach scene is cut from A Child's Year.  Paper is from a new stack I just picked up from DCWV Summer Dream Stack.

The title here is Mickey Font again.  The paper is from the Summer Dream stack.  The flower in the corner is a Prima glitter flower.

This is one of my favorites from this weekend.  The paper is from the DCWV Christmas stack and the present is from Doodlecharms. I don't remember exactly, but I believe the title was cut using 2 different fonts off the Lyrical Letters Cartridge.

The paper is again from the Christmas Stack.  The snowflakes are cut from Winter Woodland and then pop dotted.  The title is cut from Lyrical Letters.

Again, Christmas Stack paper and the title is cut from Winter Woodland.  Buttons are glued down in the bottom corner.

The title was make using the Gypsy and mini gel pens.  I replaced the blade in the Cricut with a mini gel pen using a pencil gripper to hold it in place.  Once the lettering was drawn I put the blade back in to cut the circle.  Paper is from the Green Stack.

And my last one using the Green Stack again for the papers.  The middle picture was pop dotted to give dimension.  The title was made using the Zooballoo font.

I am excited to be done with her 2008 pictures.  Now it's time to move on to my son's 2008!

Travel Games

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been hard at work making some fun things for my kids to play with on our road trip we are taking this summer!  I have FINALLY finished all the projects and took pictures of them all to share with you.

I sure hope the kids enjoy these.  I took sheet metal and made these magnet board games.  On one side of all the boards are BINGO games.  I used images from many cricut cartridges to draw the images on white paper using mini gel pens with a pencil gripper around them.  They came out much better than I had hoped!  I arranged them all in Design Studio so I was able to draw them out and then cut them out all at the same time.  I wanted to cut out the letters for BINGO with my cricut, but as I was running out of time to get them done I settled for some letter stickers that I have had FOREVER!

On the back side of each BINGO game is a different game.  There is a Tic-Tac-Toe, Colors, numbers, shapes, and letters.  I plan on playing a few different games where they need to find object in those colors/shapes or find the numbers/letters on signs, etc.

I also made a few things with material.  I made a new and improved crayon roll for each kid.  (It took me a few tries before finding the best way to close them!) I am hoping these keep the crayons up off the floor and seat in the car!

Lastly, I gathered a bunch of small objects and created a beanbag I Spy game for each kid.  I thought these would be great to use on any trip in the car and for keeping them busy and quiet in church!

Jungle Card

Here are the cards I made to give with the Jungle flip books. Very simple, but I like how they came out. I used the card feature on Zooballoo and a studio g stamp.

Jungle Themed baby books

Finally!! I have been working on these two books for a couple weeks now. I haven't been able to put a lot of time into them at a time though. I am really happy with how they turned out! I have been asked for directions for these, and will post them, but for now I need some sleep!! Sorry for the awful pictures, I will fix them later!

Hoppy Easter!

Hoppy Easter is a layout that I did for a challenge over at the Cricut Message Boards. The challenge was to use only the Zooballoo Cartridge for your project. This is what I came up with. I am really happy with how this one turned out! The pattern paper is from the DCWV Nana's Kids stack. I LOVE that stack!! Paper going across the middle is punched on both sides with a Martha Steward border punch.
