CIRCLES and a Birthday invite!

Wow, I didn't realize the kick I am stuck on!  The last 4 LOs I posted were all done with circles!!  I promise the next page I do will not have circles!! I am actually trying out something new, but I have to run to Joann's before I can finish it.  Maybe I will have the chance later today.  But for now, I have one more thing to show you..

My daughter will be celebrating her birthday and wanted to have a Hannah Montana party, but I talked her into changing it to a generalized RockStar party.  We put the invites together last night and this is what we came up with.  The other side has written out with markers using Lyrical Letter "Come Party Like a ROCK STAR."  We used Every Day Paper Dolls to make the girls (any boys for the boy invites) and the star was cut using George.  I did use design studio to do the front of the invites and layout the back before cutting.  I printed the info for the party out on labels and cut them down into strips so I could just stick them on.  We were happy how they came out!  Next up making a 12" paper doll to play Pin the Mic on the Rock Star!

Travel Games

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been hard at work making some fun things for my kids to play with on our road trip we are taking this summer!  I have FINALLY finished all the projects and took pictures of them all to share with you.

I sure hope the kids enjoy these.  I took sheet metal and made these magnet board games.  On one side of all the boards are BINGO games.  I used images from many cricut cartridges to draw the images on white paper using mini gel pens with a pencil gripper around them.  They came out much better than I had hoped!  I arranged them all in Design Studio so I was able to draw them out and then cut them out all at the same time.  I wanted to cut out the letters for BINGO with my cricut, but as I was running out of time to get them done I settled for some letter stickers that I have had FOREVER!

On the back side of each BINGO game is a different game.  There is a Tic-Tac-Toe, Colors, numbers, shapes, and letters.  I plan on playing a few different games where they need to find object in those colors/shapes or find the numbers/letters on signs, etc.

I also made a few things with material.  I made a new and improved crayon roll for each kid.  (It took me a few tries before finding the best way to close them!) I am hoping these keep the crayons up off the floor and seat in the car!

Lastly, I gathered a bunch of small objects and created a beanbag I Spy game for each kid.  I thought these would be great to use on any trip in the car and for keeping them busy and quiet in church!

Superhero Word Book

I made this book a year and a half ago for a friend of mine who wanted a superhero themed baby room.  I had a lot of fun making it!!  I used design studio and George to create and cut everything in this book.  Some of the designs were made for me from some awesome girls on the Cricut Message board, but it has been so long now, I don't remember who it was !!  A few images were also computer generated and then cut out freehand. Book was bound using the bind-it-all.  I also finished it off with some primary colored ribbon tied to the binding (but forgot to take a final picture).

Mother's Day

So I didn't do a traditional mom's day gift this year. I had been trying to decide how I wanted to make one of these birthday reminder books since I heard my mom mention she needed something like this months ago. This is what I came up with (not all pages shown). I used the Green Stack by DCWV (which I love!) and Lyrical Letters for the fonts. The owl on the front cover came from Storybook. All cuts were designed in design studio before cutting.

Jungle Themed baby books

Finally!! I have been working on these two books for a couple weeks now. I haven't been able to put a lot of time into them at a time though. I am really happy with how they turned out! I have been asked for directions for these, and will post them, but for now I need some sleep!! Sorry for the awful pictures, I will fix them later!

Baby Books

Someone over at the Cricut message board was looking for baby shower ideas. So I decided to post this book that I made a while ago. I actually made 4 of these books at the same time and am planning on getting two more done in the next couple weeks for my 2 sister-in-laws who are pregnant!

Most of the die cuts are from New Arrival. Cupcake is Doodlecharms and spoon and bowl are from My Community. Font is Sesame Street font and welded in Design Studio.
