Water Fun

Anther really fun page to make.  I cut the sun rays free hand from the Boy stack paper and lined the circle with cute buttons.  The font is from the boys will be boys cartridge.  The journaling is cut up into little squares.

This was a fun page to make.  I used paper from the DCWV Green stack and cuts from the Boys will be Boys cartridge. 

Christmas Tree

I love pictures of the kids decorating the Christmas Tree.  I think they are the cutest!  On this layout I used the Hannah Montana font for the background letters (tree) and then cut the Christmas from the Christmas Noel cartridge.

I Believe in Santa

I have actually created a page similar to this one in the past.  I changed up the layout of the pictures and added a few die cuts from Christmas cheer and A Child's Year.  I used some red and green ribbon to stretch across the pages.  The title is cut from the Nursery Rhymes cartridge.

Boo Boo Lip

That is what we call this face.  We get it all the time from her.  I layered a bunch of papers (which I inked the edges of using Tim Holtz distress ink) to create this page and just did one simple cut from the Walk in my garden cartridge.  I topped it off with a button center and a short little handwritten jounaling/title.

Dolphin Tour

This page was just a very simple layout without much going on because I wanted to get a lot of pictures on there.  The flowers are from Oriental Trading and have a cute button in the middle.  The strip of paper in the middle is from DCWV Summer Dream stack.  I really love the bright colors against the white paper.  It is beginning to be one of my favorite things to do!

Dinosaur World

I made this page for my daughter's book, but will probably end up making another one for my son's book with different pictures.  I got a new cricut cartridge for Christmas and didn't have time to really use it until this past weekend.  I LOVE it.  It is called Boys Will be Boys, and you will see that I used it on a lot of my pages that I will be posting from this weekend's retreat.  The font and dino on this page were cut using that cartridge and the polka-dot paper in the background is green shiny dots and is soo cute! It is from the Me and My Big Ideas Boy stack (which I also used on almost every page I made this past weekend because it is so cute!). 

Homemade Jams and Pickled Peppers

We planted 2 jalapeno plants last spring.  We were OVERLOADED with jalapenos all summer long.  We probably picked 400+ peppers off those plants throughout the summer.  We gave bunches away, made some jalapeno poppers with a bunch of them, and then canned what we had left over.  We did some pickled peppers, relish, and pepper jelly with them.  

I was also able to pick a bunch of blueberries and wanted to make jelly with some of them.  While I was at it, I decided to make some strawberry and peach jelly.  I decorated the jars and handed them out to family members for tasty gifts.

Barn Star

I put together this star for my mom for her birthday this year.  I bought a tin barn star on clearance from Joann's and covered it with paper pieces and pictures of our family.  I finished it off with a coat of modge podge to hold it all together.

Cards, Cards, and More Cards!

I made these cards to send to my gram for her Christmas present this year.  Many of the ideas for the cards where found on different crafting websites, and some from magazines.  I am happy with how most of them turned out.  Most of them have cuts from various cricut cartridges on them.  If you are wondering which one, just ask and I will let you know!

 

Playing catch up!

So I haven't updated in a long time!  In the next few days I will be trying to get everything I have for and since Christmas (which is quite a bit)!  I just got home from a scrapbooking retreat and so I have a lot of pages to share with you all! Enjoy!

A Peek at Christmas!

So I have been trying to dig my way out of the Christmas presents.  I have really enjoyed making these gifts this year!!  Since I can't show off everything I have done so far (I don't want to ruin the surprise!) I am going to wait until after Christmas to post most of my projects, but I do have 2 different projects I can share.   I will be giving these to my kids!

The first is a bag I made for them to carry books/coloring books for in the car and when we go to church.

The second is a car caddy I made for my little guy.  I am really happy with how this came out!

I did use my Cricut on this project.  I cut out the numbers 1-6 on freezer paper and ironed it on to the fabric to make a template to paint the numbers on.

Jammin'

I LOVE how this page came out.  I really like the simplicity of it.  I used my new Boy stack papers and cut the title from sesame street font.  The stars were cut from George.

Food!

I have used this LO before for a page I made in my daughter's book.  I really the way it came out using these pictures as well.  The title was cut using Plantin Schoolbook and the paper is from the Green Stack.  I finished it off with some new buttons I got from Oriental Trading.

Bumpa's Little Helper

This page was done using the DCWV Summer Dream Stack.  I cut the hammer with the Every Day Paper Dolls cartridge and the title with Sesame Street.  The strip of paper on the left was punched with a Martha Stewart Border Punch.  I finished the page off with fake stitching around the edges.

Sleepy

This page was a complete experiment!!  I saw a page done like this a long time ago and I have been wanting to try it out.  So I finally had the right pictures to attempt it and I think I like the outcome.  What do you think?

I used Sesame Street Font to cut the letters out at 4 inches and then placed them on the pictures to decides where to crop.  I traced the letters on the pictures and hand cut them out.  I used ink to ink around the papers (which are all from the green stack by DCWV) and stitched around the letters to make them pop out.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Halloween!

I had a lot of fun making this page.  I found the Halloween paper at the Target $ spot.  I thought it was too cute to pass up!  I used Jack Sprat Lyrical Letters for the title along with some stickers I have had forever.  The ribbon I believe I got at the target $ spot a while back also.  I used my cuttlebug to cut and emboss the spider and bats on the right hand page.

Funny Boy

Here is an updated version of my Funny Boy LO.  I wasn't feeling as though it was finished before, so I played around with it a little more.  I decided to add stitching to some of the circles and added one more circle to fill in the emptiness on the right hand side. 

My Family

I have been busy working on pages recently.  It has been a lot of fun!  I have been wanted to try out stitching on my pages and I finally broke down and bought some embroidery floss so I could.  Here is a simple layout I made, stitching around the background papers.  Paper is from Delightfully Simple by My Mind's Eye.

CIRCLES and a Birthday invite!

Wow, I didn't realize the kick I am stuck on!  The last 4 LOs I posted were all done with circles!!  I promise the next page I do will not have circles!! I am actually trying out something new, but I have to run to Joann's before I can finish it.  Maybe I will have the chance later today.  But for now, I have one more thing to show you..

My daughter will be celebrating her birthday and wanted to have a Hannah Montana party, but I talked her into changing it to a generalized RockStar party.  We put the invites together last night and this is what we came up with.  The other side has written out with markers using Lyrical Letter "Come Party Like a ROCK STAR."  We used Every Day Paper Dolls to make the girls (any boys for the boy invites) and the star was cut using George.  I did use design studio to do the front of the invites and layout the back before cutting.  I printed the info for the party out on labels and cut them down into strips so I could just stick them on.  We were happy how they came out!  Next up making a 12" paper doll to play Pin the Mic on the Rock Star!
